Do you play BLM some ?If we can get up early on Tulane and their kids quit wanting to play, and then we finally get a big lead on an opponent, do you let BLM play a series or two if he is healthy enough? Just to get him a few reps to see how he does?
Of course this is wishful thinking I know given our offense this year, but would you put him back out there or just ride the freshman?
Re: Do you play BLM some ?If BLM was playing last nite Marshall wouldve had double digit sacks
Re: Do you play BLM some ?we didnt lose last night because of quarterback play. BLM is done, or at least till competition in spring ball.

Re: Do you play BLM some ?That's not what Pony in SA is asking. He's asking if we get up by, say, 35 points, do we put in BLM so as to protect Padron from injury?
Re: Do you play BLM some ?As a quick reference, when was the last time we got more than 2 tds ahead of a div 1a team? I do not think we need to be considering what to do when we get way ahead. Bo gets in if and when Padron gets hurt, which if we cannot do a better job of protection than we did last night, may very well be against Tulane.

Fine. No. He doesnt need game time reps. He has had a year and a half of those. He will be ready if needed. I dont think a few reps really buy him much. ![]()
Re: Do you play BLM some ?Not worried about the QB rotation in a blowout situation. I just want to win - by 1 point or by 100 points - and get that seventh win to assure a bowl.
Re: Do you play BLM some ?
ow. Spoil my post. We did show the ability to let them come back however. Guess I need to edit to 3 or more tds. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Do you play BLM some ?I hear what you're saying. Along the same lines, when is the last time we routed a div 1a team? I can't remember...and I don't mean 27-7 over Rice when PB was here. Oh, and there was the Ark St game at home. Other than that?
Re: Do you play BLM some ?I am embarassed I was not giving credit for Arkie State being D1A. And yes I do remember them beating us pretty solidly the next year. But I would think the home Arkansas State game was the last D1 game that we dominated. If I recall, not only did we use 2 QBs in that game but they were both on the field at the same time (or was that SFA?). But what my intent was, is that we do not have the quality, quantity, nor do we have the size on the field right now to dominate anyone. We are developing an offense, we have a new perceived confidence, and we are stepping up recruiting, but we have a way to go.

Re: Do you play BLM some ?yes...assuming we are capable of getting up by a large margin on anyone. I want a 4 TD cushion in the 4th quarter before I'd go with BLM, but it would be good for him to knock some of the rust off his arm not to mention avoiding any unnecessary risk of injury to Padron
Re: Do you play BLM some ?
Wasnt it 27-7 against WSU at one point?
Re: Do you play BLM some ?Padron needs all the snaps he can get to prepare for next year. Play him all game, run some new plays, keep scoring.

Re: Do you play BLM some ?
Right on, that was exactly what I was asking. If by some miracle we do get a big lead, why not pull Padron and have him watch and learn for series or two from the sideline for Jones as BLM executes a few plays. Jones can teach him something in a live game (look BLM should have looked at that receiver, etc.), plus it saves Padron from injury. Not saying we will get a bid lead, but if we do I would protect Padron some and let BLM get in some throws.
