how can improve the image of a busted system that won't work until it's fixed. If he is hired to fix the problem and be the project manager, that is another thing.

Not that anyone can save the BCS's public image - but Ari is actually a very bright and funny guy - so he could only help.
Working for the current whitehouse occupant - now that would be truely hopeless.

The BCS is college football's equivalent of a highly, in not the most, unpopular president in recent history. Mr. Fleicsher had the difficult job of schilling for a similar boss. So this is a perfect job for him. I personally think it's amazing that former high-ranking Dubbya water carriers are landing anywhere. But I can't think of anybody who'd be better suited for this job.

W and his water carriers are looking better by the day. In fact - by comparison I would call them brilliant. Obama and the BCS would be waaaaaay harder to defend then the Bush administration.
