It was interesting hear Jim Kelly talk about his experience running the run n' shoot for the Houston Gamblers of the USFL. He talked about how much fun it was and how the offense was incredibly easy for him to run. If you recall JJ was the quarterbacks coach for that Gamblers team. The show talked about how many innovations of the USFL were adopted by the NFL including dramatic increases in pay to players. And its demise was due primarily to Donald Trump getting into the league, early expansion, and moving the league from Spring to fall. For those who don't remember, Craig James played for the Washington Federals. Arthur Wittington for the Arizona team, I believe.
