The bowl projections at Football-Bowl.com have been updated and have SMU facing Troy in the New Orleans Bowl. Thoughts? I didn't see ESPN or CBS' predictions.

Any bowl projection that has SMU in a bowl other than the Hawaii Bowl has no idea of what is going on.

this projection also has us in the Texas Bowl against Iowa State. Navy has already accepted an Texas Bowl invitation. This whole list is BS.

I did overhear a conversation between some folks who claimed to be reps from the NO Bowl at the game Saturday. Did not catch the entire conversation but they were both wearing NO Bowl shirts.

One shakeup occurs in the biggest game – Florida is now slated to take on Texas for the national title instead of the Gators' SEC title game opponent, Alabama.

Also, Iowa is again projected to make the BCS, taking on TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. Big Ten rival Penn State has been relegated to the Capital One Bowl. Cincinnati is projected to make the Orange Bowl after Big East rival Pittsburgh's loss to West Virginia. The Panthers, last week's choice for the Sugar Bowl, have been replaced by Boise State, who could take on Alabama in New Orleans.

I just don't see Notre Dame in the GMAC-they'd bully their way out to a better bowl or stay at home.

They mistake SMU for Southern Miss, which is actually USM.

I would like to see TCU vs Bama or Florida. Iwoa lost their starting QB so they won't be a good opponent.

Once again TCU fails to find out how good they are. They should get the loser of the SEC championship game.

I totally agree! Notre Dame is not playing the freaking Chippawas in Mobile. That is bottom feeder stuff. I think the Irish are headed to Hawaii.

I know that it seems like we will either play ND or Nevada. Personally i'd rather play ND because I think Nevada will run all over us. and playing a team with a tradition like ND would mean a lot for this program even though they are in a down year(s).

Won't ND just throw it all over SMU? Can you imagine our corners trying to stop Tate and Floyd?
