felt that UAB game was turning point
thought we'd have to win at Marshall and Tulane to get to 6 wins this year

says his recruiting philosophy is OL, DL, WR, QB and CB, other positions just fall out from those

TRIED TO KEEP UP, but I think i caught most of it.
-Neat experience last 2 home games
-Fans on the field, senior walk
-turnaround took longer than he expected here
-2nd game of season, knew it was coming together
-10-2 team with a couple breaks - june says
-break season down into sections
-2 overtime games
-only game we won outright was WSU, and we lost it
-thought it would be next year before we really turned recruiting corner
-47 of 66 traveling are frosh/soph
-young, future is bright
-same concepts on offense, but always adding & tweaking
-many NFL offenses are using what we do.
-texas high schools taking R&S & spread to new level
-GT/Navy using wb - thinks these offenses will return, many coaches today havent seen it.
-GT (PJ) also getting better athletes now, giving his offense more success
-Recruiting - have to have linemen, qtr backs & corners - the rest sort themselves out.
-Shawnbrey was a huge addition, but there are always tons of RBs available
-Sought after recruits still experience "sitting on the couch w mom & dad" for visits.
-We will start getting those kids as we continue to improve
-Have to go find kids right now, like TCU had to initially
-JJ is different bc he is a people guy first, does things differently,
-most teams lose from within - compares to cowboys - teams that can hold it together from the inside are successful
-Raiders were good when they were a single unit of renegades, working together.
-smu is all on the same page, staying focused.
-bowl announcement w/in 24 hours

A solid 15 minutes with JJ. Thought the questions were pretty good, considering it was the Hardline. Love hearing about and reading about SMU's success everywhere.
