Putting twenty years of punishment in context
Posted: Tue Dec 01, 2009 12:15 amTwenty years is a long time. As bad as we have been in those 20 years, with the exceptions of 1997 and 2006, how much better have our former SWC mates fared? Short answer: not so great. Combined, they have only one more national championship than SMU during that time period (Texas in 2005). Now, our plight doesn't seem so bad, does it? At least we had an excuse for our failure. What's theirs?
