Page or McCown...That is the question

I think give Page the start, and if he is not doing well go with McCown. I have always preached that you cannot split time with QB's but in this case, that is my opinion. I think Josh plays even worse when he is the starter and has to worry about getting pulled. Look at his performances last year while the McCown/Luker thing went on. McCown lacks in the mental game. Page is stronger mentally and I think will perform better than Josh would mentally. So, Page then McCown, rather than, McCown then Page.

McCown has more experience, he has a stronger arm and is more dangerous when he tucks the ball and runs. Page has a quicker first step and therefore appears more elusive. But McCown gives us teh best chance to win.

Unfortunatly, Corso, the mental game of a QB is a huge factor, a very important factor, and maybe the deciding factor.

ponytalk - Haven't heard much from you! I called for McCown, and he came through. And he made good decisions, as well as good throws, and he was great when he ran the ball.

I give him credit, he played well and made some good decisions. I read somewhere where he said he just calmed down. That is good.
BUT...
I think Tulsa's defense was weak.

Coach Cavan said at his Monday media luncheon that Josh McCown "without question" is the starting QB against Fresno State. He had a great game against the Bulldogs last year, and he will again this Saturday!
