Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! You guys (and gals) have suffered for a long time and I am glad you finally get to experience the fun and excitement of a bowl game (again). Hope a lot of you are able to make it out there and hope you get to play Hawaii since it will add to the excitement. I'm sure the crowd would be many times larger playing Hawaii than Nevada or Fresno. Anyway, I will be pulling for the Ponies and looking forward to the sellout at Ford next year!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!Congrats on the undefeated season. Hope TCU gets the opportunity to prove their mettle and play a team of substance and not the weak sister of the BCS.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! As much as I dislike that program ... I have to say I hope you play well against whoever you play in that little BCS game... (smug) ... and that both SMU and you guys are ranked when we play next year... that would make for a freaking awesome atmosphere at Gerald J. Ford!
Go Stangs! Sports, and all that implies.
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!
I understand - if the roles were reversed I admit I would be hard-pressed to pull for SMU. So...I really can't hold it against SMU fans who will be cheering against us. Go Frogs and Ponies!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! Those are fair comments by both....hopefully just a friendly mutual respect between DFW rivals..????? To have a more competitive environment between these teams every year will make for good crowds and create national interest as well. Good luck to both teams!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! Thanks. I actually wish you guys success. A big cross town rivalry between two ranked teams (2012 for us) would get the casual DFW fan interested in something besides UT. Dallas vs Ft Worth. Significant media coverage. Think #4 TCU versus #9 SMU...holy smokes
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! Thanks! I still hate you all
Alan Shore: Yes, I know, I'll get letters...
"some people post yet know NOTHING about football..." WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?!?

Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!A strong SMU program is a good thing for both schools. . .especially now that everyone is running away from TCU. I heard Tech dropped TCU from the schedule next year.
Anyway, too often in the past the SMU/TCU rivalry has been lopsided. SMU totally dominated in the 1970s and 1980s. TCU has totally dominated the last decade. Two strong programs meeting year after year in a competitive and meaningful game that could go either way would be a great thing for both schools.
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!
Now that's what I'm talking about!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation! Thanks, RF. We're gearing up for some good DFW matchups in the next decade. Good luck with the BCS game.
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!
I hate you too--but man do I want to see you play Bama/FL or TX! It's too bad that you can have arguably the best season in school history and still not find out how good you really are...at any rate, I too can't wait for the day when SMU-TCU is a battle of Top Tens!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!Congrats from a Mean Green alum!! It's been a long time coming. I know it's been painful, but I think you guys have a real winner in June Jones and will continue to be successful.
See you in 2014.
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!
Well...I've been "trolling" this board for over a decade now so the hatred is certainly mutual. I am looking forward to some more free beer and food on The Boulevard next year. Hope you guys are ranked!
Re: Congrats on the Bowl Invitation!
Thanks Reedfrawg. Hope you crush whoever it is you play. Ya'll have had a great season. However, I actually wouldn't want to play Hawaii. I believe that if we do we have a bigger disadvantage as far as the crowd. If we play Fresno or Nevada, I believe the locals that show up for the game would be more likely to root for the stangs - obviously because of the JJ factor. The crowd might be larger with Hawaii but I'll take support over that.
