Finally, an old pony's wish come true
Posted: Tue Dec 01, 2009 12:04 pmTulane was a good win for this team. However, this team finally did 3 things that help attain victory despite e a close game.
1) Eliminated turnovers. That’s right; we didn't have one stinking turnover.
2) No blown coverages. Yes, we got beat in a man to man situation but that wasn't a blown coverage.
3) Eliminated stupid penalties we only had 2 for 10 yards.
In the past, we have lost game after game because we turned the ball over, made too many stupid penalties or had a blown coverage. Eliminating these three things is a testament to coaching as these are coachable corrections.
Congrats to the players and the coaches and thanks for playing the game right.
