Mustang Club Travel package?

Postby Pony_Fan » Tue Dec 01, 2009 2:20 pm

Any idea when the travel package is going to released?
Looks like a lot of people are leaving at 11pm on Thu, 24th after the game.

Also, anyone hear any rumors or confirmation of which hotel is going to be the team hotel - I heard there were 2 options, but nothing was confirmed last weekend.

Just trying to figure out how far away I will be from the team and events at the hotel.

As of 1:45pm today, Anthony Travel will still not talk packages for SMU. I'm sure someone will beat me to updating when they do.

At the luncheon the talk seemed to be Saturday but that wasn't from the stage...just the collective mumbling.

I hope something is sent out soon. I have waited to book my trip to see what the Mustang Club package offers first.

I couldn't wait...they seem to be really slow doing anything at Anthony. I got all in for 4 nights and flight and breakfast evry morning for $940 all in ------12-20 through 24th at 11:30 back to DFW for Christmas.

Is that on the United deal on Travelocity?

Anthony is really bothering me. I can't believe that after all the discussions about this trip, they did not have the package ready to roll within 15 minutes of the official announcement. SMU is definitely dropping the ball on this one.

Cut 'em some slack. Bowl-related activities are uncharted waters for many of us.

Agree - I called them and they did not even know the dates of the trip.

Unless a plane is being chartered, we will not see lower pricing than the United deal on Travelocity. I have no idea how long this will last (probably through Thursday).

I work in the industry and have access to great deals, but I'd like to know if they chartered a flight and what hotel will serve as the headquarters for the team/Mustang club.

Me, too. What's the holdup? It's not like this announcement was a "surprise". I want to go with the Mustang Club, but somebody needs to get on the ball. Pronto.

Actually that's what Anthony Travel does( bowl games and sports travel) and should be geared up by now....now the Mustang Club is a different story and they are fine.

I was told at the luncheon by a person who should know that the team hotel was probably going to be the Sheraton Waikiki. There are three Starwood hotels on the beach at Waikiki, the Sheraton, a Weston (Moana Surfrider) and the Royal Hawaiian. I would assume it would be one of these since Sheraton is the prime sponsor of the Bowl.
