Top notch kid. Gave my son an autograph and posed for pictures with my kids with a huge smile on his face Saturday night. You never know when we may need him again, if <gasp>, Padron goes down.

Agreed on all points. And we currently have an experienced QB as a holder, which is always good

Best case is he stays as a backup. It's important to have a backup who understands the system. Hopefully, some of the guys we have coming in at QB can actually use their redshirt year in the future. Like has been said on here many times, you can never have too many horses in the stable.

He may start again. Fully healed come spring and a QB fight will ensue. Padron was the hot hand and JJ didn't want to change back with Padron having the hot hand and to be honest rush a Sophomore QB back from a separated non-throwing shoulder. But JJ will probably watch these two compete this spring and decide who should be the starter at the beginning of the season. They are different and have differing strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah. Padron still has a redshirt that can be used too....if BLM can win the spot or they are looking equal going into the fall. If Padron wins out, BLM is still the backup--one twisted ankle and he gets a shot at leading the team again. Thought I read somewhere that JJ actually likes to use the redshirt the soph year sometimes--give a kid the opportunity to see what it is like to run the offense full speed before sending them into study mode for a year.

I like both, and I'm very glad to have both.

I like them both and J. J. McDermott as well. We have good depth at QB.

With McDermott, Padron, BLM and Kaiser next year, do you think they will move Braden to safety ?

Have you watched any games?
There is no competition between these 2....

If BLM ever starts here again were headed the wrong direction!
He seems like a great guy and I think starting last year hurt any potential he had. I hope he never takes another snap as QB here. Just being honest.
