Stallion was NostradamusSince we are posting such ridiculous threads today-and I don't have time to respond to all of them I'll just make this point-and I'm not really interested in the thoughts or opinions of those that haven't experienced the history of this program
Since Al Gore invented the internet and gave us SMU message boards I drew the checklist and blueprint of the changes in the athletic Model which would have to take place before SMU could compete with their natural and traditional rivals. I included specific policy changes that were required that included over 10 or so points. As far I can see all of the specific changes have been made and have become the official policy of the university. SMU has tangibly reached its goal with 6-7 key players admitted under those changes playing pivitol roles in the success. That's the only prediction I give a damn about. Stallion was Nostradamus. "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Stallion was Nostradamuswhich raises another question. What/who is Stallion now?
Re: Stallion was NostradamusNormally I like to compete for A__ hole of the year. But I can see this is going to be a land slide.
Re: Stallion was NostradamusMy mom thinks I am cool.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Stallion was Nostradamus
But tell us how you feel about yourself.
Re: Stallion was NostradamusNot so fast. All the admissions in the world don't change the program until we execute on the field. To that, I will claim Nostrodamus status.
We did 3 things this year that changed things. 1) No blown coverages. Not once did we witness two of our DBs staring clueless at each other while a 5.4 in the forty Rice TE runs for an 83 yard TD. We didn't give any cheap TDs up because our secondary was confused or clueless about coverage. 2) Eliminated stupid penalties. In the past, every game had idiot penalty after idiot penalty. False starts, personnel fouls, illegal formations and delay of games put a poor performing offense or defense into serious trouble. Vast improvement in reducing penalties during key games made a difference. 3) Turnovers, yes we had the usual interception for a TD but that was quickly corrected. Our defense, when healthy created all kinds of turnovers. This team played discipline football and no doubt it made a key difference. We won the close games, we stay in games and had chances to win because we play the game right this year.
Re: Stallion was Nostradamus
I am Tiger Woods. oh crap.
Re: Stallion was Nostradamus"I drew the checklist and blueprint of the changes in the athletic Model which would

W0W!....you mean to tell me you came up with...all on your own?....that a football team of Einstein's would not be able to compete with other schools that basically say "come on in fellers and take Basket Weaving 101 and play some football"? I must say I am impressed counselor! C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Stallion was NostradamusI'm proud of StallionsmodelT, didn't bring up todd dodge, june jones not coming here, or that we will never sign a good RB.
This board is really maturing. This place is gonna suck if we all get along.
Re: Stallion was Nostradamus...luckily, I then took the list and forwarded it on SMU. They agreed with Stallion's points, made the changes and voila, we can all share in the progress you see on the field. Shockingly, they didn't realize that our self-imposed, draconian handcuffs were actually preventing us from having even moderate success
![]() What I will give Stallion credit for is the dogged adherence to the idea of boycotting SMU athletics until these changes were made. If that was done in 1995, we would have been out of the desert long ago.
Re: Stallion was NostradamusI am Spartacus
Sir, shooting-star, sir.
Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.
Re: Stallion was NostradamusI'm still thinking that Stallion will be proved right about us not hiring Todd Dodge. Of course I also am thinking that the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus are real and that space aliens visit regularly.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
