Wanted to let all PonyFans know that there will be a 30-minute show airing before the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl on Channel 33.
The show, which will be shown at 6 p.m. Dec. 24, and re-aired again at 1 a.m., will include interviews with head coach June Jones, assistant coaches and players, looking back at the Mustangs' season, and looking ahead to the bowl game.
I was there when the interviews with Coach Jones were shot — should be a hell of a show. Be sure to tune in!

Hope it's a good quality production. Our first tango with them in the Tulsa game was very high schoolish at best.

Rest assured, the great ThadFilms and his crew is behind this. Nothing high school-ish about it.

And the all-too-modest PonyPride is doing the interview. Just giving some credit where it's due bro.
On a personal note, if you haven't seen the work ThadFilms has done on his new movie Article 19, rest assured, this will be top notch work and will probably be the best recruiting tool SMU has had since the 6.6 liter Trans Am.

If I don't make it to Hawaii, is Channel 33 available on-line?
If not, I might have to make a Christmas Eve trip to Dallas to watch the game.
Go MUSTANGS!

Wait, wait, wait, Webmaster!!! I'll gladly admit that I called in a ringer (PonyPride) but we had June for - wow - almost two full hours today. I was at the interview helm for two-thirds/more than half of it. But when you can bring in a guy like PonyPride, well darn it! You do it!!! However, seeing as PonyPride will be on camera as a part of the season-in-review show (oooh, that's a scoop!) I handled most of the stuff pertaining to the KDAF 33 show. However, PonyPride made most of my questions look like a third grader reporting on a pie eating contest. (Okay, yes, I am being deliberately [deleted] myself...) The important thing to note is this - we have brought in PonyPride, because hell - if you are doing a film on SMU you need PonyPride and Gerry York. Gerry, thanks for your help so far!! (Gerry is like the godfather of SMU sports, if you ever have a chance to just shut up and listen to the man, well my goodness... You just get goosebumps when he describes the highest of highs of the glory days high on the HiOh and Pride is coming with us to Hawaii... I guess I'll let him do some PF stuff while we are over there.

And I should note, that I am now working with the great folks at KDAF, they are anything but high school-ish. I think they should be comended for taking a crack at broadcasting a college football game. It was a first for them, and they did it because they believed in the program, June Jones, Steve Orsini, etc. /off soap box ... and I'll grant you I didn't see their production of the game, but I can tell you this, if we were broadcasting this season, boy howdy the SFA game would have looked like a cub scout master's home video of the pine wood derby.

Oh, and Hal --- no 33 feed online to my knowledge, but if you make it out to the islands... well, you might just be able to see it too.

Thad, I've watched your trailer numerous times to mixed emotions. The clips from 87 make me nauseous recalling those days, and burst with Mustang pride experiencing our breakthrough year. FINALLY!

I am sure the folks at the 33 are top notch, but when you start a college football game broadcast with legendary Brad Sham that you have commercially hyped ad nauseum, yet the first 15 minutes are devoid of audio, you question the product a bit. I will be happy as punch for them to do more Pony games down the road, and know the experience gained will help future broadcasts.
