International Bowl: Northern Illinois vs USF

St Petersburg Bowl: UCF vs Rutgers

Why not have a UCF-USF matchup? Maybe BCS USF/the Big East didnt want it happening..or was it the mighty influence of Rutgers alumni and fans who didnt want to go to Toronto?

I would guess its because UCF and USF have already played this year. Rematches in bowls suck.

the better option would have been UConn in Canada and USF in Alabama...but UConn did beat USF so they would probably have been upset with that reward
