Question for those that have been to Hawaii before

Okay, so for one day I want to visit another island. Maybe to play golf, maybe to ski on Mauna Kea if there's snow and a group I can latch on with, maybe to visit JJ's retirement goal of Kona, maybe the observatory on Mauna Kea, maybe snorkeling in Kauai

What would you all suggest? One island besides Oahu. And if it's golf, I'm not just looking for the 1st thing that comes to mind, priciest ticket. Although one of the two on Lanai look inviting.

Definitely Maui. Go to Kapalua (Ritz Carlton) for the golf. That's where they play the Mercedes Open. TRUST ME. Just got back from there in November. Also, the Four Season or Grand Wailea in Wailea on Maui is awesome. Kauai is nice, but rainy. Go there for hiking in the rain forest, but that's about it. Also on Maui, in Kapalua (and other places) you can go ziplining. AWESOME. PM me if you want more info. Definitely Maui. It is known as the prettiest of islands.

If you are looking for golf Maui without a doubt!

Kapalua IS AWESOME! The course is EXTREMELY challenging, and if the wind is blowing (which it normally is) you will really be put to the test. The views are not quite pebble beach, but they are still breath taking.
I've also played one of the courses in Kaanapali and Wailea, but Kapalua is my favorite.

And I have said this a number of times, everyone should go to Pipeline!

Kauai is probably the best island if you are looking for less of a touristy visit...

+1 for Kauai:

Poipu Bay & Princeville are the best golf courses in the islands.

I've always wanted to experience Moloka'i. From what I've heard, it's Hawaii the way it should be - slow-paced and unspoiled by the tourist industry.

Which is on Maui. I don't think you'll be disappointed by any of the other islands... I've only been to Maui, which was gorgeous. Pretty good snorkeling (though not "the best," according to various locals I talked with), I snorkeled for 3 days when I was there. And Mount Haleakala was simply astonishing. 10,000 feet of altitude. And there is a plant that only grows on the top of Haleakala.

Yeah Maui has amazing beaches. I'd also recommend Hanalei Bay on Kauai. A lot of beautiful places. It has been awhile since I've been to Hawaii (15 years, when I was 9)...but I seem to remember the beach I was at in Honolulu being pretty rocky. Maybe it was just my location near the Hilton Hawaiian Village, idk. But Maui was definitely my favorite place. Everything about it was terrific.

You will not be able to see or do much in one day. To and from airports plus a round of golf will take most of a day.

Maui or Lanani for golf
Kauai for 1 day sight seeing
Hawaii need 4 or 5 days to enjoy
Molokai last choice
