I don't know about the rest of you, but I am still getting used to the idea that SMU football is back. Not only did we win 7 this year and are headed to the Hawaii Bowl, we have a very young team and the coaches are working to recruit as we speak.

This is such an AWESOME time to be a Mustang!!

2010 should be an awesome year for this team.

Agreed on the awesomeness...

But we're not back. We're on our way.

It's such a great thing for those of us who graduated 20 or more years ago but who stuck with the team through thick and thin. Long wait.

I am most happy for those who attended since 1984, and especially those in school during the DP. At least we older guys and gals got to experience some ups before the 20+ years of downs.

Like ender3 said, we're on our way, not back. 1 season doesn't prove anything and with key losses to graduation next year, we could easily regress.

But from my 0-12 freshman year experience, this is an amazing feeling.

Heady days indeed on the Hilltop. I am pleasantly surprised to be heading back in what appears to be the right direction after all this time.

Don't start getting expectations now.

Speaking of expectations for next year, does anyone know the date of the Smu@Tulane game next season?

We should know that next June or July when the conference releases the schedules.

I was a fan since the day I exited the womb, but I think this whole thing has been my fault. I started school at SMU in the Summer of '87. We've really sucked on my watch.

Ponyboy aren't you due to become a Baylor or Aggie fan now?

I guess I’m the lucky one. I hosted a UCF tailgate liked the place so much I bought season tickets after you lost 11 in a row. Hung in for one more season, and will see you on the Playa.

I don’t like losing.
