When does this end? In 5 years, these coaches are going to get $10M a year at this rate. Ludicrous.

After watching is play calling and time management last weekend, I can't imagine what competition UT think they have for his services...

Yea, what if Colt's pass stays in the air one more second and they lose the game - does he still get this increase?

The fact that you are offered $5m, doesn't mean to have to accept it. Yes, I am naive and stupid, but this makes no sense.

BC$, the cartel, is addicted to $ and control.

UT football brings in $90M per year to the university. I think they can afford it.

Mack Brown: The absolute best CEO in college football. He knows how to work the system and always be one step of the competition. Love him. Thank you, Mack, for restoring Texas football to greatness!

Disagree. If he were the "absolute best CEO," he'd get rid of the absolute worst "CFO," offensive coordinator Greg Davis. Every time I watch a UT game, I find myself questioning playcalling.

What if I told you there was a proposal on the table at the same time the BCS came to be that offered the schools more money and a 16 team playoff? Voted down in favor of less money and the BCS

Doherty's a CEO type, but you don't like him...

As Jerry Jones would say, Mack Brown is one of 500 coaches who could win at Texas.

Like Colorado in the Big 12 title game?
Tech last year?
Against Nebraska, you'd have to say "one second ahead of the competition......

Mr. Pony = bitter

Do not deny your jealousy so don't you deny that you're in denial and don't you deny it.

The Big 10 will NEVER vote for a playoff system. The Pac 10 might not either. They would both have to develop a conference title game, which they have avoided at this point.

The Big 10 would be truly exposed by the SEC teams and to a degree the Big 12. And a few in the ACC. They don't want that.

The Big 10 would become a conference like the MAC - with just more attendance.

Kids from Florida are choosing UCF and USF instead of going to the Big 10.

Possibility of a four team playoff in about 6 years. Winners of two BCS bowls meet in a title game.

We'll see.

there may be 100 coaches that could coach UT but there is only 1 coach that has the best winning percentage over about the last 8 or 9 years. Hint: Recruiting matters
