* Reporter Ken Goe of the Oregonian recently unearthed this stat: Washington State did not hold the lead in regulation at any point during a season that ended 1-11. The Cougars' lone victory came in overtime, 30-27, against Southern Methodist, which, by the way, is playing in the Hawaii Bowl.

b/c they hired a marginal D1AA coach who took over for a coach that left the cupboard dry.

Their commitment list doesnt look bad...although it contains all of one (1) lineman for either side of the ball. Hope their OL & DL was full of underclassmen this year

while frustrating, winning the washington state game wouldn't have had any real impact on our season. We would still have a winning record and would still be going to the hawaii bowl. Would look nicer on our overall W's and L's though

a butterfly flaps its wings...who knows what wouldve happened if we'd won at WSU. Lessons learned from that game may have given us what we needed to win a game later on...holding UTEP and Tulane on late-game drives, for instance

It wouldn't have impacted our season, but at least we wouldn't be mentioned as the only one they beat!

Exactly...we are almost past the point of only popping up in the footnotes, but not quite.

Padron protects the ball much better than BLM. Most likely if Kyle's QB we get a win.

It all happened for a reason....lets just kill WSU at Ford next season so they/we stop talking about that forsaken game forever....

Just remember, had we made one more yard against Rice 2 years ago, Phil Bennett would still be our coach. Where would we be today? I do not know, but I am happy with the direction we are going today with Jones.
