Getting to Aloha Stadium, need help

My ten year old son and myself are flying over from Maui the day of the game. I am planning on taking a cab from the airport to the stadium. My question is, does anyone know if I will be able to hail a cab from the stadium. Have to figure a way to get back to airport after game.
I would love to go to tailgate but going from airport to hotel(pick up tailgate tickets) to stadium sounds like a hassel. I have toyed with the idea of renting a car, would prefer not to. I just assume not have to drive the streets of Honolulu.
Thanks for your help Mustangs.

PONY UP!!

Yep! There's a bus and cab station just a stone's throw south of the stadium...you'll have no problem.

From HNL to Aloha Stadium the fair will be about $40 round trip.

The stadium is close to plenty of hotels as well. You'll find a cab.

I wonder if there will be some football express buses from the Waikiki area to the stadium and back?

I'm sort of counting on the same thing. Or else, we can all just pile in some van taxis and split it up.

Eaststang is mistaken, there are no hotels anywhere near Aloha Stadium. Honolulu Internationasl airport isn't very far from the airport. Cabs are assigned stalls at the airport. Take one from the airport to the stadium. There is a bus stop on the main hwy, Kamehameha hwy, which runs directly outside of the stadium fence. a 50 yd walk outside of the gate nearest Pearl Harbor. Catch the 40, 42 or 62 bus, it will run along Nimitz hwy to Rodgers Street under the freeway, transfer to a bus that will take you to the airport. Rodgers/Nimitz is less than a mile from the airport check in, maybe 1 1/2 to the commuter interisland terminal. fare is about $2.00. You can also take a bus from the airport to the stadium, $2.00. Call the Bus at (808) 848 5555 for route/bus number and embarking/disembarking stops, or log on thebus.org. good luck.

if you prefer catching a cab to the airport from the stadium, The Cab, number is 422 2222. Froggiefever mentions that cabs are at the stadium, i never paid attention to verify.
