Sideline KO?

What's this all about. With all the talk about Bartel laughing on the sidelines last week, which as I have stated before did not happen, I thought this was interesting to say the least. Coaches fighting? Anyone know anything about this? Scroll down a little and there is a mention of it. WOW!

I'm hoping beyond hope that that's just the ramblings of a Tulsa fan who's had too much celebratory fuel. The last thing we need is for our coaches to be going after each other.

I read the Tulsa thread and something must have happened on the sidelines. Last week a QB got dropped. Maybe this week a coach has to go. It is a bad sign isn't it.

It wouldn't? I haven't seen that since Buddy Ryan jacked Kevin Gilbride in the chops.

Ask the TCU folks about Bennett and Pat Sullivan.

there was a problem in the first half getting the defensive play calling in from the sidelines. On at least 4-5 plays SMU players were either looking towards the sidelines, not lined up in position or on two punt situations even on the field when the Tulsa punting team was at the line of scrimmage. This reportedly may have had something to do with absence of Coach Fello from the press box due to his wife's illness.

Thank you HoursePower and ProfX, but I was too busy running around at the pre-game festivities and letterman's activities to have "too much celebtatory fuel." After the game, I helped to clean up the party and came right home. You really should have something to back statements like that up before you start making accusations.

this incident was mentioned during the broadcast, but the specific coaches involved weren't named. This team is performing poorly all the way around...from top to bottom. Just another indication of that.

I think you misunderstand me. What I said was it wouldnt be the first time our head coach fought with another coach on the sidelines. And yes, I can back that up.

Haha yeah, Bennett often grabs that clipboard away from Gush. Gush is as incompetent as they come. What I dont get is, why the hell isn't anyone replacing these coordinators?

....oh yeah the funniest of all was when we went for it on 4th down-didn't make it-the offense left the field-all except one lineman(I think I know who it was but not sure so I won't name him) because I guess he thought it was 4th down and he was on the punting team. The Tulsa offense is breaking the huddle and he's lining up over the ball for the punt.

I wasn't making accusations, either. I was simply hoping to find a reason - any reason - for inaccuracy in your report. I didn't doubt you .... just hoping there was a reason that the report might not have been true. As you can see, our season hasn't been exactly as we would have hoped.
My apologies if my comment was out of line. I didn't mean to make accusations, just grasping at straws. (Hey, I would have been enjoying some celebratory fuel after that game!) No offense intended.

Sorry. I don't like for people to think that I am a drunk, and after last weeks crap put on TU fans by the father of a Nevada player (he repeatedly stated that the entire student section was drunk), I am a little sensitive to the whole idea of people thinking that Tulsa fans are nothing more than a bunch of drunk loud mouths.
BTW-- I understand your pain. Tulsa was there, but I have to thank Burns for sucking so badly, because TU wouldn't have had Coach K if we hadn't endured Loud mouth Burns. I feel bad for you guys, because I saw much of the same in SMU yesterday-- the same things that the Tulsa fans endured under the Burns disaster. I really hope that you guys can get it together. It would be a good rivalry.
