Shawnbrey next year?

I know Shawnbrey is a good RB and has some family issues, but how realistic is it that he plays his Senior year in a pony uniform, not an NFL uniform?
I'm honestly afraid that Shawnbrey will declare for the draft, then get dreafted after the 5th round. If that happens, he'll lose out on next year for us and might not even make an NFL roster. That could be disasterous for us and Shawnbrey.

Relax, a lot of players say that they will "explore their NFL options" after their junior year. Usually a player who finds out they have a very good chance of being taken in the first four rounds will declare themselves eligible for the draft, while those who find out they will probably be a late-round pick choose to come back.
Colt Brennan also "explored his options" after his junior year, and came back to play for his senior year. That was lucky for us because June has said that if Colt had turned pro after his junior year, June would have probably left Hawaii that year.

I feel better about next season with SN now that it appears he is academically elligible.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I sure would like to be a program that has a junior poached by the NFL every year. That means they're good enough to get into the NFL. Given that there are only about 1500 players getting an NFL paycheck out of 30,000 players playing college football that means to me that the program is on the uptick.

Won't he have to make acceptable progress in the next term or two to play next fall? Or has he already done so?

Yeah, not saying he does not have to do his schoolwork this spring.
