no Hawaii for Big Al

Massive disaster at the United check in counter this morning. I was in line at 4:25 for the 6:00am flight, and after 45 minutes in line, the counter person said, even though I had my printed itenerary, I could not board because I didn't have the credit card on me, that the trip was purchased on. The place was a zoo! I have never seen a line at the ticket counter, that snaked all the way down the escalator! Then I spent nearly 3 hours on the phone with Expedia and United, that claimed I couldn't get a refund, because I failed to show up at the airport!!! To make a long story short, I got my refund, but, almost everything is booked out there, and the very few seats available this morning, were around 2 grand just for the airfare. I am not a happy Mustang tonight.

Sorry to hear that. I can't even imagine, though I am fighting unforeseen circumstances myself and may not be able to go. Glad you got your money back and that you did not go postal on anyone.

I will leave in the morning and I wonder did you check in online? I hope that checking in on-line helps me avoid some of the madness.
