Which game convinced you this thing had turned around?

Postby Caballo » Wed Dec 23, 2009 2:03 pm

For me, I became a believer that this season could be a success after the Tulsa game. When we took control of the game and did not let it slip away like so many games in the past I actually started to think that we had turned a corner.

What game convinced you that a bowl was possible, or even a winning season?

Here's to finishing the season with 8 wins!

The last defensive play of the UTEP game. It was furthered by coming from behind to beat Tulane. The whole attitude of the team has changed.

For me it's a tough call between ECU and Tulsa. I like the ECU win because it came after a heartbreaking loss at WSU followed by a blowout loss to TCU. In the past, the team would have folded after two losses like that. This team came back and upset a solid team (that turned out to be the conference champs). For me anyway, that win indicated that this team was different. I wasn't totally convinced, however, until the Tulsa game.

I think it was UAB that kicked things off. I really think however the UTEP game solidified the changes this team has gone through.

For me it started with ecu where the found a way to win even when that meant having to score on defense and on special teams. But the the Tulsa game solidified it for me when we all watched a true freshmen come in and take control of this team. With the exception of the marshall game I have seen nothing but positive from this team. I am looking forward to the big game tomorrow to what would be a great end to the season.

Even though SMU lost against Navy I was totally impressed with the defensive effort as we had a legimate chance to win the game ----ok, SMU gave up a bunch of rushing yards but not like pass years where Navy would have run all over the Mustangs. I starting believing that better times where ahead in confernce play.
