Note about the suspended players for Nevada and how it affects their rotation:
Davis had worked himself up to second-team middle linebacker where he backed up Mike Bethea. With both he and Silva-Purcell (also a middle backer) gone, linebackers coach Ken Wilson said James-Michael Johnson will get the majority of snaps at middle linebacker on running plays and Kevin Grimes on passing plays.

Wilson said reserve linebacker Joe Easter will not be available because of a high ankle sprain.

The loss of Williams could be more significant. SMU runs a run-and-shoot offense. Defenses usually counter with a nickel defense, and Williams has been the team's nickel back. He also has stood out for his special teams play as a ferocious hitter on kick coverage.

The Wolf Pack now has just two safeties with significant experience, senior starters Jonathon Amaya and Mo Harvey.
