TCU to be stranded?

All this conference realignment talk is certainly entertaining, but this guy may be right on with this column. I think we can expect "activity" as we approach the end of the current BCS deal (2013?)

We could see an interesting domino effect that might just reunite SMU & TCU in the next round of musical chairs.

There have always been those possibilities. I doubt this scenario pans out, but Utah and BYU both have great fan support. BYU to Pac-10 is a real long shot for a number of reasons. Also possible BYU and Utah go separate ways.

If they both jumped from the MWC and TCU has no opportunity to get into the Big 12, then perhaps a new conference composed of the most attractive remaining MWC, WAC and C-USA programs would be the best alternative. Another reason for Frogs fans to root for teams like SMU and Houston.

At a minimum the TCU and SMU basketball teams need to be combined so we can win more than 15 games a year each
