I had little doubt that it was the best bowl to spotlight our program-its a unique bowl among the second tier. Forgetting for a moment that SMU kicked Nevada's ass-the SMU June Jones angle reverberated across the country even before the game and being the only Game of any sport played on Christmas Eve got more airtime on ESPN highlites than probably even the Major Bowls which will have fight the NFL, NBA and NHL for playtime. I think a lot of fans fighting blizzards and the cold find a bowl in Hawaii worth a look. Other CUSA bowl do not. The exciting home runs add to the huge dividends this game will pay. BTW SMU earned a lot of respect-I'm a big believer in earning respect rather than asking for it- across Texas tonite-see for example

The HB was certainly a nice and unique showcase for this SMU football program. Glad they capitalized on it.
