He is also the present of SMU football. And I don't mean Christmas present... thought that would work too. Mele Kalikimaka.

Still, the NCAA site says must play in 75% of games so they do not list him. I computed the efficiency myself then say this.
Oh well, nice that it is "official" somewhere.

Padron looks great. June's had a history of good QB's, but rarely have any of them had the mechanics Padron has. You can tell he had good coaching at Southlake Carroll. He looked like a seasoned vet the other night. Only a few passes were off the mark. With the coaching he's getting now, mixed with the sound fundamentals he's already got, he could put up Case Keenum type numbers in a few years and be a serious Heisman contender. I'm looking forward to seeing him play the next few seasons.

Let's be careful of the Heisman talk, I remember 2006 when we all thought Willis was the next coming. Kyle is great but young. Lets get through his sophmore year.

Although Willis was a great athlete - Padron is a great QB at what you want in your qb - especially in this offense. If he stays on this track he will bring down a ton of records and be in contention for some national awards....but that is three years of work and alot of tough play ahead of us.

I heard he is going to be working out with Tony Banks(?) the ex-NFL QB starting right after the 1st of January to work on his mechanics, accuracy etc. He is a real student of the game and is not sitting on his starting job, he expects there to be competition and will keep working to keep his job. He's tall, cool in the pocket and we also see how he he improvises well when the play breaks down. He also ran a 4.5 in HS, so with time there's no telling how good he can become before he is through at SMU.

Don't really want to start this but Willis already has a ton of SMU records. Any QB would be thrilled to be able to beat them. No need to try to put down Willis.
