Well done fantasy. Some poor Nevada fan invested a lot of time in that futile effort. Now Nevada fans should put a campaign together to get rid of Harry Reid.

First off, I want to say congrats on a great (and decisive) Hawaii Bowl win. You have quite a team and should be proud!

Secondly, I am not a Nevada fan. I am actually just doing a series of Bowl previews just for the fun of it. I live in Minneapolis and really don't have a rooting interest in many of the matchups, so I just randomly pick a team. I have since gone to letting the games play out as computer vs computer matchups. Anyway, even in the game, SMU is pretty tough to match up with. I would hate for my Golden Gophers to have to play this squad, I don't think the result would be pretty for the U of M.

I will have to have put together an SMU highlight video in the near future, and I will give a shout out to ponyfans.com.

Regarding a matchup vs the Gophers, let's make it happen. The gophers are trending towards tougher non conference scheduling (Cal this year, Home and home the next two years with USC, ouch!) I think it would be a cool match up. Plus we have the brand new stadium you may like to check out.

Unfortunately we have a coach who is supposedly a recuiting master, yet his recuits keep backing out of verbal commits. Also he leaves a lot to be desired on gamedays. As much as I grew tired of Glen Mason at the end of his time here, He sure looks like a better alternative at the moment.

If we start out hot next year against Texas Tech and TCU, I suspect we'll suddenly have lots of open dates in the future to fill.
