The Nevada secondary made SMU freshman quarterback Kyle Padron look like Peyton Manning. Padron made good decisions all night and put the ball exactly where it was supposed to be on his way to 460 yards and 2 touchdowns. The tone was set early with two quick SMU bombs that set up Shawnbrey McNeal touchdowns. Nevada's top ranked rushing attack was shut down in the game. SMU cornerback Rock Dennis had 5 tackles and an interception, while linebacker Chase Kennemer added 9 tackles of his own. With McNeal providing some balance on the ground and Padron looking like the quarterback of the future, I like June Jones to turn things around sooner rather than later in Dallas.
