How many got texts, call, and emails from people that had never even talked SMU football with you in the past? I texted a friend on Christmas Day wishing him a Merry Christmas and he texted me back wishing me the same but also congratulated SMU on the convincing win. Just wanted to know how many others have had similar experiences.

I work in an office with almost all TCU grads... I am wearing my SMU shirt today and they are all excited for us. They all gloated about how impressive we played which I told them they better start preparing to lose next year... had to throw that in

I'm still posting on my Facebook page about it and getting replies! I got several texts on Christmas Eve after the win. And on Christmas Day I got a phone call from a friend who would go with me to SMU games in the Cotton Bowl. I've been wearing one of my SMU shirts every day since the win, too, and getting comments.

Got Txt from kids that saw me on the TV. and e-mails from people I workerd with 20 years ago.
Banker buddy and M-club memeber ( new this year ) called today.
Going into 2010 is quite enjoyable.

Same here - Texts and Facebook. Texts from people that saw me on TV. In the Denver airport Christmas morning as I was getting breakfast and still had my SMU shirt on the restaurant manager came over and congratulated me on the game. That just doesn't happen. Wonderful feeling.

This was the most exciting of my time with SMU. I've always worn my SMU and also my other sons school attire and never have I gotten so many comments about SMU. I walked around the airports and everyone on the way said Good luck to your team. And it struck up conversation with people all along the way. I met so many nice SMU fans and other athletes parents it was truly fun. All my friends all of a sudden want to go to SMU games next year. I said yeah I get the same amount of tickets but directed them to the ticketing office. LOL

I had a guy come up to me at a starbucks and ask me if we won. He said his family had been watching the first half, saw it was gonna be a blow out, so went out with friends. Something I had never heard about an SMU football game in our favor before lol.

i turned my phone off at the end of the first quarter... when i turned it on i couldnt make a call i had so many messages coming through
