Sanders To Play In East-West Shrine GameFrom SMUMustangs.com:
Sanders To Play In East-West Shrine Game Wide Receiver Becomes Second Mustang To Play In Shrine Game In Two Years Dec. 28, 2009 DALLAS (SMU) - SMU wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has accepted an invitation to play in the 85th East-West Shrine Game, which will be played Jan. 23, 2010, in Orlando, Fla., it was announced today. Sanders, who will play for the West Team, joins an elite list of football greats, such as John Elway, Tom Brady, Brett Favre and 62 NFL Hall of Famers who have played in the East-West Shrine Game, America's longest-running college all-star football game. Sanders finished his career as SMU's career leader in receptions, touchdown catches and yards. In his final game, Sanders had seven catches for 124 yards and a score in helping SMU to a 45-10 win over Nevada in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. "The East-West Shrine Game has always fielded players among college football's best," said East-West Shrine Game Executive Director Jack Hart. "With all 32 NFL teams represented by GMs, coaches and scouts during game week, our players have the terrific opportunity to showcase their talents and get their first glimpse of life in the NFL... `Just Like on Sunday.'" Sanders is the second Mustang to play in the East-West Shrine Game in two years, joining former Mustang and current New Orleans Saint punter Thomas Morstead, who kicked in the game in 2009. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. CT. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Shriners Hospitals are paid for by dues from Masons and contibutions along with fundraisers like this game. Please donate to the Shriners when you see them. Also, please donate a few dollars to the Scottish Rite Hospital here in Dallas. In these economic times, these two NON CHARGING hospitals can use some extra funds. So Mote it Be. logo's on his helmet so that mustang will show up better on t.v.
Re: Sanders To Play In East-West Shrine GameQuick question what gets you in the game? The reason I ask is Colt McCoy is not on the roster? Given he was a heisman candidate and leading his team to the NC I would have thought he would have been on the roster above the guy from BYU? Just wondering.
GO Ponies!!!!
Re: Sanders To Play In East-West Shrine Game
