Mike Leach is damaged goods

Postby Pony81 » Tue Dec 29, 2009 5:14 pm

Leach's actions scream of trying to run off AJ. Unfortunately for Mike, head football coach is no longer the last bastion of feudalism, concussion injuries are serious to the point of life threatening, and parents (especially media savy types like CJ) won't take their kids being abused.

Leach didn't have the discipline to cut James by simply saying he wasn't good enough. Instead, Leach indulged himself by torturing AJ and showing the squad what he did to "babies".

Mike is now damaged goods. Opposing recruiters are going to kill him.

I know JJ took lots of flack for cutting the 8-10 players last year but it is far better to cut them due to team rules violations, not having the talent ect. than to "run them off" like they did back in the day and apparently still do at TTU.

Think that's a good response from CJ. He answered all the questions, and, despite being interviewed by a coworker, they really weren't softballs.

Experience shows. CJ stayed on message and left nothing for the Leach lawyer to attack. And he gave no real information. I see why he is considering a political future.

Repeated references to the teammates supporting his son. Not sure where that's coming from, but if true, is that a full scale mutiny against the pirate captain?
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
