I didn't think Cinny should have jumped TCU back when the BSC was trying to protect its own and screw the non BSC teams. Looks like Florida proved that Cinny didn't belong in that game and certainly not ranked ahead of TCU.

I hope TCU crushes BSU (nothing against BSU, just want there to be more controversy about the unfair treatment the BSC gives to non BSC teams).

Cincy did not have their head coach. That is what hurt them the most.

Kelly wouldn't have that much of a difference. Cinci has been giving up a ton of points lately and florida could have still scored on them with or without Kelly.

I disagree. Everyone said Utah was going to get smoked by Alabama last season and that was far from the truth. I think you have to let them play. TCU's defense would at least keep it from being a blowout. Cincinnati and the Big East are not as good as TCU and the MWC.

I agree. MWC is definitely better than the Big East this year. Big East is a basketball conference, it doesn't deserve an AQ BCS bowl over the MWC.

That has been one of the MWC's arguments, their comparison with the Big East the past few years. If the MWC adds Boise State, their comparison will look even better...there is still a few years left before the next round of BCS evaluations, so the MWC will need to keep it going to get their AQ status.

By the way, the lead Honolulu Advertiser reporter (Stephen Tsai) said last year that he thought that SMU would be likely to be invited to the MWC when it expands. That does make sense for the MWC for a couple of reasons--travel partner with TCU, increasing their presence in Texas, etc. It would make sense for SMU if the MWC became a BCS AQ conference. The key is that SMU's football team needed to get better to help with the AQ rating...this season was a good step for that.

Don't think you can consider BSU a "typical" WAC opponent.

They've proven over time that they can handle themselves against anyone. Just ask OU!!!

choked in the highest sense of the word. they were jittery, under coached, nervous and underperformed. serves em right.

reminds me somehwat of the year Cal b!tched about not getting to play in a bcs game and then got throttled by tech a few years ago

I would have liked to have seen either TCU or Boise get a shot at Florida, but more than likley the Gators would have steam rolled ANYONE they lined up against. Just like last year, those guys really bring it after playing poorly and losing a game. If there had been a 16 team playoff and Florida was in as a wildcard, I guarantee Bama would not want to have to play them again.
