Were those pants and helmets vomit green or was it my TV set?

They had the same uni's for the big Utah game. Special from Nike

Ugly, but I don't remember green...

they can explain it away all they want (the red matches the blood the horned frog spits, etc), but bottom line: red doesn't match with purple, and it looked especially silly to be the first team of any kind sporting snake skin britches

Everyone I talked to today commented on how bad the Unis were...They should burn those...

The only way you can describe those unis is 'butt ugly'. They really looked bad on TV.
I still believe our white unis are one of the classiest in all of college fb.

I think Ron Meyer had us in all white at home during the '78 season. I wasn't crazy about them at the time, but after watching the Hawaii bowl, I decided they look pretty darn good. Don't we have to get a waiver from the conference or the visiting team to wear white at Ford?

I sorta liked TCU's marble looking helmets with the bold white letters.
I think recruits dug the unis. Quite wild and different.

Helmets were ok,

but those pants looked like they were stolen from Aquaman's gay cousin (NTTIAWWT).

the one thing TCU has going for it is several years ago they finally discovered a unique deep hue strong purple color that looks good on HDTV. SMU is the same old boring red on red just like 50 other Division 1A teams. BORING. SMU Red is not even a strong red like say Alabama or USC or Arkansas. Its a pansy [deleted] boring red that is blah blah blah on HDTV. SMU should find the right deep hue strong blue color and contrast with the Red Pony-oh yeah they already had that color before we screwed it up.

Those "butt ugly" unis are the real reason they lost.

I thought the helmets looked as if they had been spray-painted. Very splotchy.

Try Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue...now there is a novel thought.

I could care less if it was Harvard Red or Yale Blue as long as they looked good on HDTV. Like the contrast between the Michigan Blue and Yellow or the USC Scarlet and Yellow. It ALL starts with the uniforms.
