Need to be careful on these posts...this video has gone viral and it seems that the young lady in question is blind, never a good idea to make fun of anyone, but that would certainly explain.

I meant she is to be commended for being a part of the marching band and rising above her disability.

As one sportsblogger put it(in reference to everyone who made fun of this video): "I do not envy our time in hell together, where we will all play cowbell for an enternity"

I did not see her marching, and I do not see how hitting a cowbell means that you are rising above your disability as it barely qualifies as music. Do not be so quick to make this girl into a hero when there are blind people that have actually demonstrated incredible musical prowess and overcome greater obstacles than standing.

But I agree, this is not funny.

Yeah, I think when you make comments like this and call any achievement "rising above their disability," you're actually making it worse. Good for her, but no one wants to be babied about their problems.

Besides, blindness shouldn't affect her ability to keep tempo
In fact, she should be off fighting crime since her remaining 4 senses are now superpowered
