Are there are rumors out there on where Leach will end up? I think he is a tremendous talent and there are a ton of schools that would be lucky to have him.

It looks like he may have to sit this next year out because there are no coaching vacancies, but maybe next year?

Colorado? Illinois? Wash St?

I thought he'd wind up at Kentucky but turns out they had a coach in waiting. Maybe he flies under the radar and becomes their OC

there is a lot of stuff out there on Leach now:

1. made player sit in snow on 50 yard line as discipline
2. "Fat Ugly Girlfriend" comment
3. The Adam James "Dungeon" Episode
4. the expletive deleted tape of Leach to James
5. an apparent issue(which hasn't been discussed here) that Leach disciplined players for knealing in prayer beside injured opponent and routinely cut down players for publicly exercising religious beliefs
6. apparently sent Baron Batch to study on curb during recent snowstorm
7. most importantly a) he refused to acknowledge university control of the methods used to discipline players on his team and b) he decided to incite and inflame an entire fan base of a state university with an orchestrated campaign to viciously attack the reputation of a student athlete rather than administratively dealing with the issue-not cool in university circles

most of these happened in last year-I do think the guy "unraveled" a bit. I understand that many coaches use tough agressive techniques to motivate players-and generally have no problem with them but if I was a parent who had a highly recruited athlete son I think I would have some real pointed questions for him as to whether he really had the best interests of the player in mind especially with regard to his disciplinary techniques and his campaign to attack one of his own student athletes. I think he'll eventually get another job but it won't be at a BCS school and I think he might have to wait awhile.

I do think there is a nice distinction to be made between the disciplinary and teaching techniques of a Leach type Coach to the techniques used by June Jones. I'm sure most recruits have that issue as an important issue to consider after this episode.

maybe not SMU, but can you imagine what he could do at TCU? With Patterson's D to go with Leach's O...goodness. I don't think they could co-exist, and big problems if the prayer thing is true.

I wonder who the go-to man is for Leach to redo his public image? Aside from Tech fans, where's his support? His spiritual advisors? Counseling sessions, etc? Jesse Jackson? Al Sharpton? Anyone?

Haha you beat me to it. I live in the Bay Area(I'm a 49ers fan, screw the Raiders) and they were talking about Leach going to the Raiders on KNBR radio. Pretty funny how any player or coach with character issues is always mentioned as possibly going to the Raiders. What a joke of a franchise. Al Davis needs to retire before he runs the franchise into the ground
