Why didn't Bama kneel the ball to run out the clock when up by 10?

Agree. And then they drill the PAT into the upright?

No it was in the course of the flow of the game in only a 10 point game. No way. Plus it really is the only way Texas had a chance=ask Baylor's Kevin Steele.

was that the guy who fumbled as Baylor was running up the score when time was running out, fumbled the ball and the opponent returned it for a game-winning TD?

i dont think it was bad sportsmanship. Did you not see the Idaho game the other day? You can get 2 scores in under a minute

in one of Steele's first games...which was against either BC or UNLV

how do you figure? 1:49 left on the clock, 1st and goal, UT with one TO.

It wasn't bad sportsmanship. If the game was going the other way, Mack certainly wouldn't have had his qb take a knee. He'd be running up the score as much as he could.

I don't even understand how you can ask the question.

Alabama obviously took their foot off the gas... much, much earlier than 1:50 left in the game. It came back to bite them in the butt. You expected them to make the same mistake again? Shipley had gotten hot, Texas could feasibly score very quickly. They'd already recovered an onside kick. Why even RISK giving them the momentum back at the end of the game?

16 points is not running up the score. 57 points vs. UTEP is running up the score. Suck it, Longhorns. Not so fun when you're on the other side, is it?

Sorry, didn't mean to waste your time with such a ridiculous question.

Sorry, I came across pretty strong. I had just had a bit of a discussion with a hard core Longhorn who was FURIOUS about the last touchdown. Personally, I kind of enjoyed it.

No worries. My main gripe was that I had teased UT to +11.
