C'mon guys. Fill it up with ponyfans. Right next to the Tech stadium. Make your reservation NOW. Start saving and let's go have a time out on the south plains. I'll talk to Mestengo and see if we can't raise the bar tab this time.

Lets do it RGV. The Overton Hotel about a block from the Texas Tech football stadium needs to be Mustang Central on Saturday September 4, 2010. After-all why not go ahead and reserve now since you can always cancel the week of the game with no charge. We already have two rooms booked. The Overton Lobby Bar with One Trick Pony buying will be a nice spot for an Smu victory party!

Mestengo and I generally provide plenty of adult beverages. I cannot speak for Mestengo regarding this one, but chances are better than even I'll buy you a beer or two.

cmon folks, I know we can pull it off. I wonder if this is Tech's team hotel before the game? If so, all the better. If not, hopefully SMU uses it instead of the crappy old Holiday Inn & Towers

Someone told me that for an away game the Smu team hotel would "never be that close to the stadium or campus" for distraction reasons. Not sure if that is valid or not. Would be nice if the team was staying at the Overton and it looks like they have great conference room facilities.

if that's the case, team's probably still at Holiday Inn and Tech at the Overton. Let's go ahead and confirm those distraction concerns.

Those of you who know parents of players etc, get them in on it too.

I got friday and saturday night in a big suite for under $400 total. Thats not bad at all. Plus you dont have to leave a deposit so grab a room and if you dont need it then release it.

good work Eddie P. Cmon folks if we did it at the Pullman in West freaking Virginia we can do it in west Texas (yes, I now how it sounds. And that's what I said). Anyway, I don't want to be with a bunch of Tech folk. Book those rooms!
