The USF kid looks to be an idiot. Either it happened or it didn't happen, but don't blow smoke, start a fire and then deny anything ever happened. If true, the coach should have been fired. If untrue, the kid should be expelled. People's reputations are at stake here.

Paul Miller is the kid that made the allegation. Was he the adoptive son of Craig James?

my understanding is that Tech fans really want Tuberville. Tech better hurry up and hire him, or he'll go to USF.

Wow, that came out in November. Guess they don't like starting the season off 5-0 and then losing the next 5 of 7

Great! It is about time the universities cleaned house of these verbally and physically abusive coaches since the NCAA hasn't set any guidelines. Surely universities can hire good quality people to coach and win football games who will do it with class instead of bullying the players. Sure, many players are being recruited from backgrounds where violence is commonplace and they may respond to that kind of behaviour but do we really want that type of player and coach at institutions of higher learning?

Leach to USF. He's a perfect fit for that program.

"South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt was fired Friday after an investigation concluded he grabbed one of his players by the throat and slapped him in the face during halftime of a game."

I think they mentioned last night on the BCS championship that the Bama D-coord was interviewing for the Tech job too

Yeah. USF even has a pirate ship in their stadium.

I think GSP should have made title "First, Kansas, Then Texas Tech....Now, South Florida."

FIVE other players attested to the walk-on's version of the story, then the walk on and the dad backtracked? My guess is Leavitt called daddy and said hey, help me get past this shxt, I'll buy you a beer and put junior on scholarship next semester

If he did slap him.....so what? These guys are football players. They get hit harder than a slap every single day in practice. We are talking more about junior's feelings being hurt.

Can coaches still grab facemasks? What about slap on the behind.....or is that somehow sexual?

Attorney's and political correctness are ruining our nation.
