shouldn't throw around quotes that you love a place, would work for free and want to finish your career here when clearly you just want to go where you get paid the most. nothing wrong with that - just be honest instead of blowing smoke up everyone's [deleted]. glad you got your cash. hope you can find a tattoo removal place close by?

SMU2007,
WTF. Are you really going to trash Vic for trying to make a better life for him and his family. He has given more to this program than you will ever know. You need to think before you type. Its early and you have already posted the dumbest post of the year.

I talked with Vic recently, he said he would work at SMU for free, this is his family, but, he has a wife and two little girls, and this is a very nice pay increase. Good luck Vic, we'll miss you!

Coaches leaving for good programs sure beats seeing them fired for lack of performance.

I'm Not Your Steppin Stone by the Monkees comes to mind. Probably a TOP TEN hit
in 1966 as we were winning the SWC.

LSU to smu to Florida State just as smu is re-becoming SMU. Sounds like a budding
career in politics to me.

Can FSU really pay that much more than SMU?

What does a strength coach make 200, 250 at most...

Sad to see him go, but you got to do what you got to do

Curious, what does a strength coach make at a Top 25 program?

Coach Hill is a former NFL strength and conditioning coach-seamless realignment of staff. Gives Mason and Jones an opportunity to bring in another coach on the defensive side of the ball.

A strength coach at Florida State might make 200K or more, but I guarantee they don't at SMU. This is an opportunity for a young husband and father to provide for his family, and for that he should be commended. SMU always will have a place in his heart, and it wouldn't shock me to see him back at the Hilltop one day.

Congratulations, Vic — you deserve every success that comes your way. Good luck in Tallahassee.

I just became a Seminoles fan — Vic is that good.
