Can someone post a manifesto to take the band to Lubbock

Looks like the fans will be there en masse (comparatively speaking, vs years prior). I know the game in the cold drizzle a few years ago was tough because of Tech miscreants, but hey...we got your back.
Yall cant come across like fair-weather supporters. All that wonderful stuff in the alluded-to manifesto which gave all the reasons the band should go to Hawaii applies to Lubbock. Tradition. SMU on the rise. Make a statement. Etc.
Certainly we can use leftover bus brigade $. Could probably do what LSU did this past season and bus there for the game and leave immediately after...no hotel stay.
Get in done, folks.

You could call the director and write a check to start a transportation fund to get the band there

I wonder if this could be another trip like we did for Rice a few years back? Hell, I'd throw in for transport and tickets

my guess is they've already budgeted for Tulane.
I was thinking along the lines of smu diamond m, and I'd do the same.

Think BIG. We CAN do BOTH (Lubbock and New Orleans). It's not like transporting the Allen HS band. This needs to be addressed now. Plan your work and work your plan. The Mustang Band makes a difference. Let's get started.

Why, Lubbock is wonderful in September. 30 mph winds, dust everywhere and every kind of fast food franchise at our diposal!

Band should be raising money now (through university channels, alumni — whatever) to be at EVERY game. Do not wait until August. If the school doesn't have the money, or chooses to spend its resources elsewhere, round up the whatever alumni contacts necessary to make that happen.
