http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/n ... id=4820737Lane Kiffin is going to replace Pete Carroll at USC. He's also bringing his father, Monte Kiffin, as a Defensive Coordinator and Ed Orgeron, his Assistant Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Great signing in my opinion. Especially with his Dad and Orgeron coming along. Some great recruiter and coaching talent. I feel bad for Tennesee, but I'm a big USC fan, so I don't feel THAT bad

It will be interesting to see what comes of the NCAA investigation, it could hamstring Kiffin's ability to recruit. Not to mention, Kiffin has his own history of having loose control over compliance, minor or otherwise.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

I don't get the attraction to Kiffin? What makes him such a great hire?

He never really connected with Vol Nation and p@#&ed off other schools in the SEC. He's also leaving some minor (thus far) recuriting violations and a couple of players arrested for armed robbery.

Yes, Kiffin, the one-time USC assistant, can bury the bones Reggie Bush left behind, and he'll cover up the McKnight fiasco. Smooth talking opportunist. He's a schmuck.

DukeBB is right, this guy has zero class, and I hope he gets what's coming to him in the form of an NCAA sh!tstorm from their alleged violations. We'll see.
On another note, Norm Chow is going to be his OC, he will have quite possibly the best staff in America. Volunteer nation has gotta be hurting from this one.
Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

Looking at June's pic above, he just looks like a perfect fit for the Ponies.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Pretty straightforward analysis on what went down. It had to happen quick and they went out and got their man ( after a few turn downs)...the recruiting is so key for the next few weeks and these 17-18 year old kids are crazy volitile and the schools are hard at them and who knows what they say to these poor kids....Kiffin will settle them down. Tennesee fans are none to happy right now....

The skeptic in me thinks that now USC won't have to make that "there's a Payroll to Meet" Speech. These guys already know
