UH's Keenum to Return for Senior Season

HOUSTON - University of Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday quarterback Case Keenum will return to play for the Cougars during his senior season.
Keenum submitted his name to the NFL's advisory council that lets underclassmen know where they might be taken in the upcoming NFL draft.
Keenum had until Thursday to submit his name to become eligible for the NFL draft. He will not do that.
Keenum now has one more year to add to his impressive college football resume.
He is already one of only two players in NCAA history to twice throw for more than 5000 yards in a single season.
In 2009 Keenum led the Nation in passing, passing yards per game, total passing yards, total offense and points responsible for.
Keenum threw 44 touchdown passes during the 2009 season and he finished sixth in passing efficiency.
His glittering numbers go well beyond that.
Keenum is the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision active career leader in passing yards per game.
He is also second on the active career list in touchdown passes and fourth in touchdowns responsible for.
In fact Keenum is in the top five of every major category connected to throwing the football on the active career list for the Football Bowl Subdivision.
