This weekend is a big recruiting weekend for SMU. We need as many as possible to attend the Basketball game against Houston Baptist to try and fill up as much of the stands as possible. We want to make a good impression on them. Let's do are part (as many as area able). Go SMU.

I hope these guys decisions are not based in part on what they see at Moody on Saturday.

Heck,who knows what a 17 or 18 year old is thinking. That why I am encourage as many to show up as possible. remember Pete Carroll saying on recruiting was trying to make a choice between UCLA and USC and when he went to a USC football game he saw Traveler come out on the field before the game and he like him. HE then committed to USC. So who knows, but less try to give them one less negative to think about.

Each dancer should focus on one recruit each, exactly as in the movie American beauty, dance their way into the stands, and move then to an audio recorder where they can commit.

Why put the recruits through a horror movie that is SMU men's basketball. Even if it is Houston Baptist, is that a guaranteed win?

Yeah, there is no way in hell the game on Saturday would make a positive impression on any kid. That place is a morgue these days. I went to the Tulsa game last week and it was probably the worst sports environment ever. Reminded me a lot of the Clippers in the early 90's. Now throw Houston Baptist in the mix? Ugghhh.

Some of those dancers/cheer girls would only serve to scare the recruits away...

Well, hopefully it is a decent turnout. I will do my part and be there.

Keep them the hell away from Moody-that's a Dead Zone. Instead, take them to "The Pony" for their recruiting trip. smupony94 has directions. (I've been trying to slip this newsflash in a thread all week!!!
