Why North Texas has done well

They have done well the last few years because of scheduling. To me it seems like the last 6-8 years, NT has scheduled "tough" non-conference games, especially against the Big XII, and although they usually go 0-fer in those games, it seems to have toughened up the team for their non-conference schedule.

It also doesn't hurt to use that as a selling point to recruits. The fact that they will get a chance to play in those big games.

Why hasn't that strategy worked for us?

because we aren't willing to take chances on an All-American type in Brandon Kennedy, a 3 time All Conference player in Jonas Buckles, the JUCO All-American DT they brought in et al.

...their women are freaky-er (trust me on this)!

I would gladly take an SMU girl home to mom - I would take a UNT girl home to dad !

So you'd have a difficult time taking someone like North Texas Ex Norah Jones home to mama? And for you older SMU alums, Phyliss George?

Yall need to visit our campus. Say what? You haven't been "on" the campus in how many decades now?

Is it really worth the drive to Denton? I don't think so.

Compared to Dallas Denton does suck but there are a couple of places on Lake Lewisville that are cool, and Fry Street is all right every now and then when you want to geta way from Dallas. Oh by the way you can't claim Norah Jones she went to UNT for one year.

Man, talk about reaching. Nothing wrong with Norah but if you have to pick someone who only went to school for one year, then that's really stretching it. Besides, if she really liked UNT that much, she wouldn't have stayed in New York. Although you could claim Sara Hickman but you could also claim Pat Boone. Don't forget we could also claim Patricia Richardson(Home Improvement), Paige Davis, the host of Trading Spaces and we could also claim the First Lady of the United States,Laura Bush(depending on your Political Affliation, of course). :D
