Note to Insane, it happens everywhere. I would think indefinite suspension if not soon-to-be dismissal would be appropriate here.

Yikes....we were already thin at DT with Parham graduating, looking at the date that was our bye week after the Wash State game, wonder why news is just breaking now if it happened back in September. Anyhow, this is not good.

This was during our bye week I think. I hope we weren't trying to cover it up of we knew well before this.

I doubt that our coaching staff can keep the police from arresting someone charged with a crime for 3 months. More likely the accusation just took place.
I say we hold off on this. This story can go many directions. We know nothing about the young lady at all, and all most of us know about Pittman is that we want him to be available at NT. I think this is a perfect time to let the legal system run its course and find out all the facts before passing judgement. And perhaps we can learn that this would be a good attitude to adopt concerning all of these type of situations regardless of the institution of higher learning attended by the accused.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty. I guess now it's guilty until proven innocent to GSP.

Agreed but they're still going to have to suspend him, mrydel.
86 - You can moan all you want but in just about every other instance where players were arrested, they were suspended. That's the it works. To do nothing would be worse. Look no further than the Tennessee issue with the four BB players.

GSP, I agree with a suspension but you were talking about kicking him off the team. At least wait until we find out if he is guilty before we kick him off the team. That's what I am saying.

I would expect him to be suspended until an outcome is determined. I am much more worried about the future life of the young men and the young lady than I am football, however.

Suspension is appropriate not dismissal from the team at this point.

I agree with GDP, not saying he is guilty at all, but the "charge"of aggravated sexual assault usually brings a suspension until at least the facts are known, unfortunately Grand Jury probably
will not hear the case until April , I have heard Torlan is a good kid and this is completely out of his character ,just the "charge" hits the media and is enough to derail a kid's career.

I said soon to be dismissal--for clarity, dismissal should the case be pretty tough. But we'll see. That said, when you're talking about sexual assault, it is such a hot potato issue.

Again, I totally agree on a suspension. It's just the "if not soon-to-be dismissal would be appropriate here" part that I disagree with GSP on, let's wait until due process is given.
