Look for Bryce Tennison to line up at center during spring workouts.
Tennison, who played center at McNeil High School in Austin, has been wearing a sling under his left arm after having surgery to remove a bone spur from his AC joint.
The right guard spot will be an open competition that will include Kelly Turner, Blake McJunkin and perhaps one or more of the 2009 redshirts.

Not sure. Backing up somewhere (it would be easy to assume at center, since that's where he played in HS). But since he hasn't taken part in a single practice yet, we'll know more in a couple of months.

So you're saying there's a chance...

Replacing Mitch is very important to getting better next year.
Hope something works out.

I though McJunkin played center some the past two years? Why is he not a potential player at center?

McJunkin is big, strong, smart, quick but had some trouble delivering the ball.
Could be size of hands or shortish arms or a hundred other things.
I bet he plays something other than center and plays well.
IMHO

Jones:
(Tennison) had shoulder surgery. He played guard but was backup center. He won't practice this spring. He'll take some snaps at center this fall. I think he played there in high school. He and Blake McJunkin will be the guys this fall.

Mitch Enright is the perfect example of what college football should be about: a hardworking kid both on the field and in the classroom. An All-american. That is the type of player we need to recruit and the winning will continue.

Mitch Enright will be a badass at whatever he does. His time at SMU really epitomized the transformation that is going on with this coaching staff. Best of luck Mitch.

Update: Tennison will miss spring ball while recovering form shoulder surgery and a broken foot. In the meantime, Blake McJunkin and Ben Hughes will work out at center this spring.
