Touchdown Club of Columbus To Honor Sophomore-To-Be QB

COLUMBUS, Ohio (SMU) - SMU quarterback Kyle Padron will be one of nine returning college football players to be given the Touchdown Club of Columbus' Award of Distinction during their Awards Banquet on Saturday, February 6th.
Padron is coming off an MVP performance in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, where he passed for a school-record 460 yards and two TDs in leading SMU to a 45-10 win over Nevada. On the year, Padron posted a 159.9 passer rating to rank fifth in the nation and finished the year with a 5-1 record as a starter.
Other honorees will be quarterback Andy Dalton (TCU), receivers James Cleveland (Houston) and Jonathan Baldwin (Pittsburgh),running back Jeremy Avery (Boise State) and a foursome of Ohio State Buckeyes including linebacker Brian Rolle, defensive lineman Cameron Heyward and receivers DeVier Posey and Dane Sanzenbacher.
