I am not liberal but it is more of a question of whether the BCS violates the Sherman Antitrust Act. Rep Congressman Joe Barton questions it as well. It is a cartel.

This is their answer to jobs. If you even the field in NCAA football, then the mid majors can afford to hire more players.

I'm sure his answer will be to levy a large tax on all football schools and offer a small refund to non-BCS teams...

I thunk people general are able to do more than one thing at a time. But stopping illegal activity especially when it involves millions of dollars is definitely something the justice department should be doing. A cartel is illegal and the law needs to be enforced.

Given their "answer" to the healthcare problem is actually worse than the current state, I'm afraid that whatever they come up with will actually make the BCS look fantastic!

They are not trying to give an answer they are trying to break up a cartel (which is by law illegal).

Let me guess, sarcasm goes right over your head, doesn't it? I guess I could have put the quotations around the word answer in bold or something to help that stand out more, but I thought the words themselves made it pretty damn obvious.

No worries. I enjoyed bashing the BCS and the government at the same time. It was glorious.

how about Obama fixes the economic problems we deal with daily, instead of the BCS? Boo hoo its not fool proof, but what isn't? This isn't something that needs to be fixed immediatly, the problem of us losing money does.

It's not the Justice Department's job to fix the economy. But it is there job to enforce the law which they would be doing in this case.
