Over the past decade, Texas Tech ranks 3rd overall in Graduation Success Rate. Nebraska, Baylor and Texas Tech are separated by a margin of just one point. These three schools lead the Big 12 pack by a significant margin.UT and OU rank last in graduation rates in the Big 12 and are in the bottom 20 of all 120 FBS programs

Graduation Rates are negatively influenced by players turning pro early or dropping out of school in spring of their senior years to work out for combines. See Shawnbray McNeil. Texas does just fine in the NCAA Academic Progression Rates (APR) and in fact has led the Big 12 in some recent years. SMU has lower standards for admission than the University of Texas. Basically we recruit from the same pool of players except Texas doesn't often take JUCOs and UT signs less academic borderline students. SMU signed 9 kids last year who didn't show up. If they got into UT-SMU would take them too.

Once admitted, how difficult is it to remain academically qualified at SMU versus UT, or for that matter...TCU?

How may players have we offered a scholarship to that also received a scholarship to play at UT?

4 but you can assume the other 21 who also committed to UT wouldn't return our phone calls
